INOCENCIO, Ph.D.
E. Bing Inocencio is an
experienced and respected public speaker, especially
on the Asian experience in America, the Asian perspective on US higher education, and the Chi gong art of stress
reduction. He used to write a column called "Minority of One",which was regularly
published by the MONTGOMERY JOURNAL in Montgomery County, MD.
Dr. Inocencio is a former
private university and a community college
president in Los Angeles. Before going to California in 1996, he
was Associate Provost of he City University of
New York's Technical College.
He was a Fulbright and James Webb Young Scholar at the University
of Illinois (Champaign), where he earned an MS degree in advertising and marketing. The
University of Pennsylvania awarded him two more degrees :MA in business
and applied economics
and Ph.D. major in the economics of communication. For five years he was the second highest
official and chief financial officer of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Communication
and
former president of a chapter the American Statistical Association. A former Ford Foundation
Fellow at Harvard Business School, he has taught in several universities and colleges, including
Central Michigan University, La Salle University, University of Maryland, and the MBA Program
of the New York Institute of Technology.
In 1998, he was
named one of the "Top Ten Newsmakers" in San Fernando
Valley by the
Los Angeles Times. Dr. Inocencio is the founder
and president of the SpeakersOnAsianTopics.Org. At present he is the president of the Normandie On The Lake I
Condominiums board of directors, and continues to teach online for the
University of Maryland University College
and Montgomery College.
