MARIA  A.  INOCENCIO

Maria A. Inocencio holds  a Sogetsu Jonin Sanyo Teaching Diploma from Tokyo,
Japan and seven (7) other Ikebana Certificates and Diplomas. With a flower
name of Sei Nan meaning Southern Star, she has been a practicing Sogetsu
Ikebana artist for seventeen years. She has exhibited her Ikebana flower
arrangements in various flower shows in the East Coast including the cities
of Baltimore, MD and Harrisburg , PA. She has also exhibited the art of
Ikebana flower arrangement for  various organizations and groups throughout
Southern California such as the Japanese Garden in San Fernando Valley,
the Los Angeles Arboretum, Hilton Hotel, Thousand Oaks
Library, CSUN, Japanese American Community and Cultural Center, etc.

While residing in Marina del Rey in Los Angeles, she taught Sogetsu Ikebana
at Ventura College and West Los Angeles College, and conducted workshops
and demonstrations at various institutions in greater L.A. She is a member of the
Sogetsu Teachers Association, Sogetsu School, Tokyo, Japan and the
San Fernando Valley Sogetsu Branch, San Fernando Valley, CA. She is now
a resident of Montgomery Village, a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC.
